Pain points to promised land

Everyone has pain points. They are unhappy with the current place in which they find themselves. Something is just not right. Things are out of place. They are seeking for something more.

I know this because I am one of those people. I look at my relationship with God and I seek to grow closer to him, to look more like him. In my marriage I often find that there is much still I must grow in to improve this ever-important relationship that Olga and I have. I want to parent my kids better. I want to be healthy and do hard physical tasks.

All of these hopes are unconscious thoughts bubbling from a pit of desire. That each day I might pursue something with great purpose. A promise that each day I might grow closer to a goal.

This “promise” is the ultimate aim. It is satisfaction, rest from desire. It is getting to the mountain top after a long hike and exhaling deeply, that the next breath contains none of the old but only the new.

The bridge

Value is the bridge between the two. It is what gets people from a place of pain to a place of promise.

Everyone is seeking these bridges. No one desires to stay in a place of discomfort, everyone is looking for rest.

Some people find ways to numb the discomfort, but this is not a proper solution. The promise must be sought. And people who have answers should feel the burden to get people across the bridge.

So my encouragement to you is to be a bridge builder.

There is a lot of content being created in the world, and yet there are so many who are wholly dissatisfied with their lot in life. So while there is a lot of content, it must not be the right bridge.

People may be waiting to hear what you have. So write. Record a video. Post. Speak at a public event. Paint for a gallery. Inspire people to move from their place of pain to a promised tomorrow.

Leave your valuable mark on the world by creating something beautiful.
